In 1984, Collage Ensemble Inc. was founded by Kio Griffith, Luchy Garcia and Alan Nakagawa as a multi-disciplinary arts group with influences in performance art, sound art and fringe genres such as Mail Art. The arts collective has changed members throughout the years (over 200 to date) and has expanded its works into public art, installations, community service, video and the media arts. Alan Nakagawa remains as its director. and is currentlly collaborating with artist Mona Kasra.
