Raices is "roots" in Spanish.

We picked the theme of immigration. We interviewed several who immigrated to the US and now live in Los Angeles. Our goal was to portray each participating immigrants story in a semi-abstract "opera" specific for the internet. The commonalities of need and journey juxtaposed with the unique nature of each experience inspired us to create the following works. Lastly, this is dedicated to those family members of ours who immigrated into this country.
